These terms govern your use of this website and any services you book or purchase through it. By engaging with Hankar Sisters — whether through an online container, a private residency, or a single session — you agree to the terms below. 1. Our Relationship with You
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between La Vie Afya (the legal entity behind Hankar Sisters, referred to as "we", "us", "our") and you ("client", "you") when you engage our services—whether through online containers, private residencies in Diani, or one-off sessions.
Hankar Sisters is our brand name. La Vie Afya is our registered legal entity and will appear on all invoices, payment receipts, and legal documents.
By booking or purchasing any service with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Payment Terms
Full Payment Required in Advance. All services - including online containers, private residencies, and one-off sessions - require full payment at the time of booking. Your space is confirmed only once payment has been received in full.
Payment Methods. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as agreed. Payment details will be provided upon confirmation of your booking.
Currency. All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Invoices will be issued by La Vie Afya.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
For Online Containers & One-Off Sessions:
Notice Required. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, we require written notice a minimum of 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
Refunds. Refunds are not issued for cancellations. However, with 48+ hours written notice, we will work with you to reschedule your session or container to a mutually convenient time.
Late Cancellation (Within 48 Hours). Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled session will forfeit that session in full. No refund or rescheduling will be offered.
No-Shows. If you do not arrive for a scheduled session within 15 minutes of the agreed start time, the session will be considered forfeited. No refund will be issued, and the session will not be rescheduled.
Late Arrival. If you arrive late, we will still end the session at the scheduled time to honour commitments to other clients. The session will not be extended or rescheduled.
For Private Residencies:
Notice Required. Cancellations for private residencies require written notice a minimum of 21 days (3 weeks prior) to your scheduled arrival date.
Late Cancellation (Within 21 Days). Cancellations made within 21 days of your residency start date will forfeit the full residency investment. No refund will be issued.
Rescheduling. With 21+ days written notice, we will work with you to reschedule your residency to a mutually convenient future date, subject to availability.
Exceptional Circumstances. We hold these boundaries with care—they allow us to show up fully for every client. In the rare event of a genuine emergency, we ask that you communicate with us as soon as possible, and we will assess on a case-by-case basis.
4. Residency-Specific Terms
Minimum Stay. Private residencies require a minimum of three nights. Longer stays may be arranged by mutual agreement.
Accommodation. Your residency includes private accommodation at House of Afya, Diani. Check-in and check-out times will be confirmed upon booking.
Inclusions. All sessions, meals, and transfers as outlined in your personalised proposal are included. Additional services may be arranged at an extra cost.
Travel Insurance. We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel or stay.
Force Majeure. We are not liable for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, weather, travel disruptions, political instability, or health emergencies.
5. Our Work Together
Scope of Services. Our work is educational and experiential in nature. It is not a substitute for medical advice, psychiatric treatment, therapy, or any other licensed professional service. If you are under the care of a medical or mental health professional, we recommend consulting with them before engaging in this work.
Client Responsibility. You acknowledge that your healing and transformation are a collaborative process. We provide the container, the guidance, and the tools. Your engagement, honesty, and willingness to participate are essential to the outcome.
Confidentiality. Everything you share with us is held in strict confidence between Kaya and Nicole. The only exception is if disclosure is required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Intellectual Property
All materials provided to you—including session recordings, practices, guides, and resources—are for your personal, non-commercial use only. They may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without our express written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, La Vie Afya (trading as Hankar Sisters) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or your inability to attend a scheduled session.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific session or container in question.
8. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued engagement with our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
